Charlemont House, the home of Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, was commissioned by James Caulfeild (1728-1799), 4th Viscount Charlemont and 1st Earl of Charlemont and built in 1765. Recent additions include a 1930s wing and a new extension designed by Gilroy McMahon in 2006.

First-come basis: Just turn up and look out for Open House Dublin volunteers. The tours will be on Saturday 14 October 2017 at 11.00am, Noon and 2pm by Margret Glupker. Photography is not allowed on this tour.
