This project involved the reconfiguration of a late 19th century cottage in the Liberties to better accommodate a couple living in the city. The existing ground floor bedroom was repositioned to a new mezzanine level, enabling the living space to connect directly with the private yard to the South of the cottage. This raised accommodation shifts above to form double height spaces below, placing distinct emphasis on the entrance, lounge, dining space and kitchen respectively; while bringing light deep into the plan through newly formed roof lights.
