Rathfarnham Castle is a fortified house dating form 1583 and was commissioned by Archbishop Adam Loftus. It retains some original features including 16th century gunloops. The castle was remodelled in the 18th century and has fine Georgian interiors to the designs of Sir William Chambers and James ‘Athenian’ Stuart.

First-come basis: Just turn up and look out for Open House Dublin volunteers. Wheelchair Access. Photography is not allowed on this tour.
